Nebraska Women’s Encounter Statement of Faith

 

We believe the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God.

 

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit.

 

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory.

 

We believe that all have sinned, deserve death and eternal punishment, and are in need of a savior, who is Jesus Christ.  Salvation is a free gift given to those who confess Jesus as Lord and believe in Christ’s atoning work on the cross.

 

We believe that the Holy Spirit affects regeneration and sanctification in the believer and empowers His people for Christian witness and service. The Holy Spirit desires to fill each believer continually with increased power for Christian life and witness and imparts His supernatural gifts at His discretion for the edification of the body and for various works of ministry in the world.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
